2 Tigers on prowl near Tadiyandalmol, Tourists and Trekkers beware !

Tourists are cautioned against trekking and camping overnight on Tadiyandalmol mountain, a popular tourist spot in Western part of Coorg.  2 Tigers were spotted at Tumbekochhe range near Tadiyandamol yesterday.

The Tigers have been in the vicinity of  Brahmagiri hills for sometime now and have repeatedly attacked livestock in the area. There are reports of the Tigers previously being spotted by locals as far as ponnampet. The Tribals living in hills have repeatedly spotted the two roaming freely around the mountain.

Forest Officials have been tracking their movement and have  cautioned Tourists and Trekkers not to venture out or camp at Tadiyandamol.

This is a great news!!!! considering the fact that India is having just 1411 Tigers!!!! It is pretty natural that tigers roam freely in their habitat… It shouldn’t be highlighted as if they are showing some alien behavior.. As much as we want to be away from them, they too want to be away from us..If we take little care on how we should behave in the forest, then it is not an issue to be hyped.
