Let me say that I stand to gain and am not unbiased in this train line project As Im resident of Thalassery and like Mysuru too. The only obstacle is that there is virgin forest in between and does Kodagu want this kind of traffic. Even a road tunnel through the ghats will be enough to make the trip smooth. I’m definitely not for urban speawl and am keen to keep the natural ghat ecosystem as it is. But can it be done without disturbing the environment ?
