CM inaugurates developmental works in Kodagu

B.S. Yeddyurappa inaugurated various developmental projects in Kodagu on Monday, these projects were worth Rs eighty five crores. The projects included inauguration of PU College building built at the cost of Rs. 45. lakhs at Napoklu, foundation stone for Kodava Heritage Centre in Madikeri at the cost of Rs. 145 lakhs, foundation stone for Suvarna Karnataka Samskrithika Samucchaya at the cost of Rs. 195 lakhs in Madikeri, foundation stone for Mini Vidhan Soudha at Virajpet being built at the cost of Rs. 2 crores, foundation stone for ITI College at Ponnampet which will be built at the cost of Rs. 2 crores, development of Bethri-Hemmadu-Parane road at the cost of Rs. 95 lakhs in Virajpet.

The CM laid foundation stone for the development of 28 roads at the cost of Rs. 15 crores under Kodagu Special Package, foundation for the development of Kikkarahalli-Kudiganahalli road at the cost of Rs. 90 lakhs in Somwarpet taluk, foundation stone for development of rural roads to be undertaken by the ZP.

Foundations were also laid by the Chief Minister for the Zilla Panchyat ( Z.P) building at the cost of Rs. one crores, Pre metric boys hostel building to be constructed at the cost of Rs. 195 lakhs,  post metric hostel for girls at the cost of Rs. 65 lakhs at Pollibetta, staff quarters of Basavanahalli Morarji Desai Residential School at the cost of Rs. 2.5 crores, Morarji Desai Residential school for minorities in 25.26 acre at the cost of Rs. 482.72 lakhs, anganwadi buildings at the cost of Rs. 26.25 lakhs at various places in the district.  He also laid foundation stone for development works worth Rs. 3 crores under Chief Minister’s Small and Medium Town Development Scheme in Madikeri CMC limits.
