Rohan Bopanna and partner Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi bowed out of the Wimbledon quarterfinals on Wednesday, going down in straight sets to the Austrian-German duo of Juergen Melzer and Philipp Petzschner.
The Indo-Pak men’s doubles tandem, which had surged through the earlier rounds, were halted in their tracks by the superior skills and fitness of Melzer and Petzschner, who won 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2.
