There is no shortage of funds for any development works, Assembly Speaker K.G. Bopaiah said. “The constant complaint that the Government is not releasing funds for developmental activities is factually incorrect. The Government has chalked out plans for the development of the district.” he said
Speaking to presspersons after inaugurating the road construction work under Suvarna Gramaudoya Yojane at Puliyeri in Gonikoppa he said “five more villages will be selected by the Government under this project.
“Suvarna Gramaudoya” is an ambitious project of the State Government to develop villages and is being implemented over the last four years.
Of the total amount released, a sum of Rs. 1.03 crores for Kaikeri, Rs. 86 lakhs for Mekur Hoskeri, Rs. 95 lakhs for Arwathoklu, Rs. 85 lakhs for Mathur and Rs. 75 lakhs for Puliyeri will be utilised.
The speaker said that the Government has released a special grant of Rs. 4 crores for the development of roads under the ZP.
K. G. Bopaiah requested the public to co-operate withthe administration during the execution of development works.
