VOKKALIGA SANGHA FETES PRATAP SIMHA

MP Pratap Simha, who was felicitated by Sri Somanathananda Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Mutt, Mysore branch, at a function organised by Siddharthanagar Vokkaliga Sanghagala Okkuta in city yesterday, is seen with Okkuta President M.V. Nandish, former Chairman of Karnataka Exhibition Authority B.P. Manjunath, Dr. Rajashekar of Kalpavruksha Trust and others.

“Indiscriminate industrialization should be checked in city to retain its beauty,”

opined Pratap Simha, Mysore- Kodagu MP.

He was speaking after receiving a felicitation from Sri Somanathananda Swamiji, Seer of Mysore branch of Adichunchanagiri Mutt, at a function organised by Siddharthanagar Vokkaliga Sanghagala Okkuta at Indira Venkatalingaiah Kalyana Mantap in Siddharthanagar here yesterday.

Simha recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to city had said that Mysore had all the potential to be developed like Paris which should happen keeping the heritage intact.

Recalling his first day at Lok Sabha, Simha said;

“The employees there were curious to know the constituency from where I was elected. When told Mysore, they exclaimed that it is a beautiful city and I felt happy.”

Simha assured to work to the expectations of the people of the constituency.

Vokkaliga Okkuta President M.V. Nandish presided.

Former Chairman of Karnataka Exhibition Authority B.P. Manjunath, Okkuta Vice-President Chinnalu, Siddhartanagar Vokkaligara Sangha President Siddegowda, Dr. Rajashekar of Kalpavruksha Trust, Mysore Mahila Vokkaligara Sangha President Lakshmi Nagaraj, Corporator Rajani and others were present.
