There is an interesting article in The Hindu about the Vittala(Vittal) Kingdom in Mangalore and its descendants, the Heggade Family. The article provides information about the erstwhile Vittala Kingdom, its lineage, palace and customs. Something very interesting to note is that it has a Kodava connection.
To quote from The Hindu;
What is a ornamental lamp with Kodava inscription doing in a Tuluva kingdom is something to ponder upon.
i think GOING IN DEPTH ABOUT IT WILL GIVE AN ANSWER.
Puttur & Sullia were part of the Kingdom of Coorg, before Tipu came calling. Kumbla must have been one of the vassal state of Coorg.
