Gowda has made a special mention about Mysore-Kushalnagar-Madikeri line, and said the survey had been completed between Mysore and Kushalnagar. “The State government has agreed to share cost of the project… I propose to pursue this project for obtaining requisite approvals after completion of remaining survey up to Madikere,” Gowda said in his Budget speech. – Economic Times
Till a couple of months, all the talk was about Mysore to Kushalnagar and now the Railway Minister has plans to have it reach till Madikeri. The commissioning of the new survey report and completion of the same, was quick. The last Survey Report stated that the railway line was not feasible. Simha submitted a new proposal to the Railway Minister, Sadananda Gowda on 9th June. In a month the new survey report was ready, which purportedly has okayed the railway line till Kushalnagar. Also a new survey has been commissioned to look into the possibility of extending the railroad up-to Madikeri.
What did the old survey report say and what did the new report. Why the Volte-face ?
No details are available about the old report. And even the new report seems to have not been made public. Talk about transparency.
Dear @DVSBJP and @mepratap Can you please share the Mysore – Kushalnagar Survery Report by publishing it on-line ?
