Some request transfer citing non-cooperation, while others blame the atmosphere.

Many of  Govt officials deputed by the State Govt to Coorg have been transferred to other districts by the Govt.
Some of them have “requested”  for the transfer citing non-cooperation and “weather of Coorg” as a reason.

Child Welfare Department Deputy Director Sheharbanu was qouted in Deccan Herald stating….

“I did not come to Madikeri with the intention of earning money. I had served for the district honestly and I sought transfer on my own. No one should take up the issue of my transfer for their publicity.”
“Though I wanted to continue my service in Madikeri, some people did not allow me to work here. Hence, I was forced to seek transfer from here,”

She alleged that the local people’s representative were not allowing her to work freely. She did not name the representatives.

While Director Sheherbanu has an issue with non-cooperation, other officials blamed the weather and rains in Coorg for them to request a transfer out of  Coorg.
