Bopaiah, the Virajpet MLA and Assembly speaker after inaugurating the commercial complex of Kodagu Coffee Growers’ Co-operative Society at B M Road in Hunsur on Thursday, said that the Govt is contemplating a decision to aid the Coffee Planters, soon. He further added that the Central Govt has released Rs 700 crore to the State based on Vaidyanatan report on Co-operative credit of which Rs 5.35 crore has been released to Kodagu district.
Society President M B Devaiah said that the Society has incurred a loss of Rs 14 crore and attempts were being made to strengthen the Society with the help of elected representatives.
