The Chief Minister (CM) B.S. Yedyurappa, will be in Kodagu on the 15 th of November to launch his governments ambitious ‘Bhaghyalakshmi Scheme’, aimed at protecting and providing for the ‘girl child’
A press release issued from the DC’s office states that, the inagural function will be held at Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa College grounds in Madikeri. A total of 6889 beneficiaries from the district will be covered under the ‘Bhaghyalakshmi Scheme’ in Kodagu.
The CM is also slated to lay foundation stone’s for various developmental schemes in the district. Deputy Commssioner (DC) Kodagu A.N Gowda will hold a high-level meeting in the Old Assembly Hall to fine tune the CM’s schedule.
Taluk-level medical camps will also be conducted on November 15th, the DC said.
The sub-committees formed under the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Chandre Gowda will look after transportation, food and water during the visit of the C.M. Assistant Commissioner Dr. M.R. Ravi, in-charge CEO of the Zilla Panchyat (ZP) Basavarajappa and other senior officers were present at the briefing..
