Our investigative reporting, on the dilapidated condition of the Police Lines  in Somwarpet gives me the impression, that  most rural Police  quarters must be in a similar state. How much disciplined work can you  expect from a Police force, who after a hard days work, has no proper dwelling for his family and himself? Residences of Security personnel, Medical staff, if ignored will have disastrous cascading effect on the rural populace.

It is about time that the powers that be should look beyond themselves to avoid social unrest.

The Government according to the Minister has done a lot on paper for Kodagu, I am of the opinion that  the need of the hour is a Twenty Four hour mobile Hospital, as the reach for the common man to the nearest Hospital in unearthly hours, is virtually impossible in an emergency.
