Storm Festival 2014 adds another day, another stage and another brand new venue

The third edition of the festival will pave the path for singing talent from across the world and give them a platform to showcase their skills to the biggest musicians with Voice of Storm 2014 – talent accreditation program by Storm Festival in association with Shankar Mahadevan Academy; the winners will perform at Chasing Storm (series of pre-gigs) events and Storm festival.

The 2014 edition of Storm festival will be held on the outskirts of Bangalore – Gonighattapura village, Sarjapura Hobli, Karnataka, India, with the aim to make the festival a little more accessible.

India’s most authentic camp-out music festival is brewing full steam and now the excitement will last for 3 nights and 2 days of festivity. Storm festival that recently announced Shankar Mahadevan as its ambassador- will take place on January 31st, February 1st and 2nd, 2014 at Stormfields, Gonighattapura village, Sarjapura Hobli,Karnataka.

The Storm festival redefined the very concept of a destination festival in India with music, camp-out and adventure experiences showcasing the beauty of Coorg in a never seen before manner, in its last 2 editions. This year the festival will feature 5 stages and over 45 artistes from across the world.

The Storm festival today is rated as one of the biggest national music festivals/ events with a special theme and has attracted music lovers from across India and the world. With a rising popularity and followers, the Storm festival has been instrumental in placing Coorg as one of the most attractive destinations to visit in India.

Storm festival is the brainchild of two proud Kodavas, who wanted to pay a fitting tribute to their homeland, bringing it to the notice of the national and International audiences as well as the music industry. It was the fervent desire of festival directors N.A. Lavin Uthappa and N.A. Sachin Bopanna to create a destination based musical experience that brought together the natural beauty of Coorg with their passion for good music.

The festival that has brought international recognition to Coorg as a destination that cannot be ignored- also strongly promoted the local economy and culture. Apart from a large line-up of musical entertainment by artistes of great repute, the festival also has many activities to be enjoyed. Adventure, camping and breathtaking decor are some of the main features of the festival.

  2. Friday, 31 January to Sunday, 2 February @ Regular – Tents and Festival tickets – INR 4,500
  3. OneDayPass: Saturday, 1 February – INR 1,750
  4. OneDayPass: Sunday, 2 February – INR 1,750
