A joyride turned into nightmare when Chandru, one of the elephants at Dubare went beserk and attacked the boat and raft on which the tourists  were enjoying their ride. The scared tourists jumped into the river, local swimmers rescued the tourists from drowning.

Other elephants from the camp were bought to calm Chandru. Chandru regained his cool and the tourists heaved a sign of relief.
