Speaker’s tirade at ZP meeting results in tears

The monthly review meet of the ZP ended in chaos when the TP President  of Virajpet Saritha Poonacha was heckled out of the meeting in tears. The issue Saritha sought to  raise  was over the supply of allegedly inferior pressure cookers and solar lamps in Nittor village. A worldly duel between Speaker K.G. Boppaiah and Saritha Poonacha ensued, resulting in Saritha leaving the meeting hall in tears.

The President of the D.C.C held a press conference and accused the speaker  of making derogatory remarks and using language unbecoming of his post. She added that a complaint will be lodged with the Governor, H.R. Bhardwaj.
K.P.C.C. member T.P. Ramesh wondered why the Speaker was breaching protocol and getting involved in local affairs, when the post he holds is apolitical.
